A few weeks ago the blockbuster movie Charlie’s Angels came out in movie theaters countrywide. The movie featured action, a decent story, and three hot women kicking some enemy butt! As we have all seen, every time a huge movie releases, it is just a matter of time before a game is made. Unfortunately this game is nowhere near the league of the movie, it is down right awful. Please read on to find out why.

The only good thing about this game is its story line that is different from the movie. The three Angels: Dylan, Natalie, and Alex are trying to solve the latest travesty that has the world baffled. Someone has taken the worlds most famous monuments. Some of the things that where stolen are: Statue of Liberty, Lincoln Memorial, and Stonehenge, as well as many other famous landmarks. The thing that has everyone baffled is the mass of these monuments posed no problem to the robbers. It is now up to Charlie and his angles to solve this case, and set the world right again!

Throughout the course of this game, players can choose any one of the three angels, and switch between them. What is nice is the transition from one angle to another is seamless. Once players get into the game’s world, they will see how uninspired the developers where when they were creating this game. Gamers will fight hordes of enemies and they will be able to kick, punch, jump, and even use some of the environment. To make matters worse players will be fighting half intelligent AI that is nothing more than a joke. The combo system is laughable as well, you just need to hit the punch and the kick buttons in a repetitious fashion and you can watch your score go up. Needless to say the whole fighting engine is not good in any sense.

To be nice, the game has a constant steady frame rate, but it is the only positive thing in this category. The movie features extremely hot women kicking lots of butt; the game features blocky character models that are stiff and extremely dull. The character models are void of anything, meaning that the polygonal count is extremely low, the texture use is sparse, and the animation is nothing more than a joke. If you like seeing what you are doing in a game, than turn away now! The camera has to be one of the worse camera systems I have seen in a very long time! The environments are small and void of any details.

Do you like good voice acting, music, and sound effects? If you don’t than this game is right up your alley. The voice acting is a complete joke it was the cheesiest thing I have heard in a while. The sound effects in this game are repetitive, annoying, and lack any sort of “oomph” that they usually carry with any other game. The music can be nice at times, as it does have a few songs from the soundtrack, but that does not, in anyway save this category from going under with the Titanic.

Charlie’s Angels is rated T for Teen and contains violence and suggestive themes. It will takes up to 4 Blocks of memory for game saves.

The world simplistic come to mind.

There have been many games that use the same formula as this one, but they are better.

This game is a classic example of what happens when the publishers try to rush a game out to meet it with the movie. Stay away and save your money, do not buy this game at any costs. You will thank me for this word of advice!
